Norse

MBBL changes: I really like the original Norse team presented in Citadel Journal #10, so this team is a Hybrid between the team from CJ #10 and BB Magazine #1. I added the Snow Troll from CJ #10, and a Storm Giant player since there are SOOO many references to Norse Storm Giant players in Blood Bowl editions 1 through 3.

Rerolls:
60,000

Big Guys:
The Norse team may have one Big Guy player. Big Guy players cannot use Team rerolls.

Traits:
Stone Cold Stupid: This player may never be on the pitch during the weather condition, Sweltering Heat. If the weather changes to Sweltering Heat while this player is on the pitch, the player will be immediately removed from the pitch and placed in Reserves. In addition, roll a D6 before taking an action for a player with this skill. On a 1-3, they stand around trying to remember what to do. This means they can't do anything for the turn and they lose their tackle zone until they manage to not roll a 1-3. If another player from their team other than a player with Cold Natured is standing adjacent to them, this player may add +2 to their Stone Cold Stupid roll.

Cold Resistant - A player with this skill was born and raised in the snow and cold. During the weather condition, Blizzard, the player will only slip and fall on a roll of 1 when attempting to move an extra square. In addition the player is so used to detecting movement during a snowstorm, he can attempt quick, short, and long passes (but not long bomb or Hail Mary passes) during the weather condition, Blizzard. However, because of living constantly in the cold, the player will fail the heat exhaustion roll on a 1 or 2 during the weather condition, Sweltering Heat.

On Pitch Spellcaster:
The staring spell for a Norse Spellcaster is Blizzard.
Successful Result: The spellcaster changes the weather to a Blizzard until the end of the drive at which point the previous weather returns unless the Casting roll was a 6 in which case the Blizzard remains for the rest of the game unless changed by another spell, special play card, or kickoff table.
Failure Result: No effect
Range: Weather
Succeeds on: 2+

Secret Weapons:
One Norse player or ally may use a Chainsaw, a Chainsaw player will not earn star players points for casualties caused by using a Chainsaw.
OR instead of a Chainsaw player, a Norse team can travel to high ice covered mountains and find an ally in a Storm Giant as its secret weapon.

STORM GIANT - 140,000 gold - Penalty Roll 7+

Note: because they were just too big (ie too good) to play the game, Storm Giants were banned from the game of Blood Bowl by the NAF (according to the 2nd edition of Blood Bowl). But this doesn't stop one from running onto the pitch at the last second on occasion on team that use them.
While the Storm Giant is not considered a Big Guy player, he is similar to one in that he cannot use Team rerolls, earns star player points normally, and has the following stats:
PositionMASTAG AVSkillsTraitsSkills Available
Storm Giant 6 6 2 9 Block, Mighty Blow, Thick Skull ALLY, Cold Natured, Cold Resistant Strength

Note: Cold Natured is exactly the same as Bonehead, except that the player cannot take the pitch if the weather is Sweltering Heat and is removed from the pitch immediately if the weather changes to Sweltering Heat.
